The City of Arakesh
Added 2021-09-27 10:17:46 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Let me present to you The City of Arakesh, the fourth map for our current theme: Dwarven Cities.
In 1699 BA, at the end of the Dragon War the dwarven kingdom of Gynardia fell. Its cities had been reduced to rubble and overrun by dragonborn forces. Today the city of Arakesh stands on the ruins of the old dwarven capital of Gynardar.
Gynardia was the last kingdom to fall in the Dragon War. For almost a century and a half the dwarves resisted the dragon onslaught with the help from the kingdom of Domari. In the end even the help from their allies couldn't stop the inevitable. One by one the cities fell to the dragon forces, until the dwarves of Gynardia were forced to make a final stand in their capital city of Gynardar.
After a long siege and devastating assault the surface- and undercity were overwhelmed and taken by their besiegers. With their last stronghold taken the dwarven kingdom of Gynardia was undone and would not rise again. After the war the dragonborn settled in the ruins of the cities that they conquered.
