Hey everyone! Let me present to you the Arctic Temple, the second map for the Arctic theme.
Far to the north lie ancient temples dedicated to strange old spirits. They are dug out in the frozen ground with floors and walls made of thick sheets of ice. Frosty pillars carry a roof that reflects the light that shines from braziers with blue burning fire.
These old structures were built long before the Knurds settled here by a people that have since been forgotten. Even though they do not understand the workings of these old halls, the people of Knurden have reinterpreted these structures and used them as temples to worship their own Gods. The blue fires, still burning after centuries, maybe millennia even, are believed to signify the presence of the Gods in these places. Though it is unknown how to extinguish these fires, or, indeed, if it is even possible, Guardians of the Flame watch over them to make sure they remain lit.
