A Place of Our Own

Good news. As yesterday's lens suggested, an opportunity presented itself and the timing couldn't have been better. To make a long story short, I just finished setting up our new home which opens in January; Leangains Discourse.  

I have no idea why it's got twice of everything ^ but it's a trifling concern and I have a direct line to the Discourse devs. Think of everything that makes Patreon a disappointing experience, now resolved with the added benefits of open source (e.g., plugins and custom plugins, etc). In January, we're jumping from the Stone Age (Patreon) to well, 2019 (Discourse). I can hardly put into words how much I've come to hate Patreon's platform, but it's to an equal extent that I look forward to the Discourse experience. 

To be clear: LGD ^ is Patreon-only and will still rely on an active $10-pledge. Difference being we won't have to use Patreon's monkey ass platform.

I will leave this place open throughout the weekend. Leaving time for everyone to read and take part of these recent and upcoming events. I haven't yet answered questions relating to the HFT routine I posted earlier but I will take care of that tomorrow. When Monday rolls around, LG Patreon will enter cryostasis. This is the only way to survive the trip through the space-time continuum. 

I will wake you on January 2nd or January 10 depending on the evil overlords of Planet Patreon. They have peculiar traditions that I cannot make sense of, but I'll let you know as soon as I've deciphered their strange language. Either way, you'll open up eyes to a new and fully prepared home, equipped with the latest gadgets, tools and search functionalities. There'll likely be gifts and surprises, but more importantly a rested host. 

That's it for this month. I know I said to reveal some screens or details about the app, but some recent communications made me reconsider. I am naturally inclined to talk too much, so trust me when I say this is an impulse I have to use tremendous amounts of willpower to suppress. But that's the way it has to be for now.

I'll tell you one thing though. Many inquiries were prompted about my Thanksgiving trip to Baltimore. The trip fell through due to scheduling conflicts and besides, I was too tired to go anyway so that's that. But sooner or later I will meet the good professor who invited me to spend the holidays there with him and his colleagues. And isn't it funny that the man who technically is the originator of intermittent fasting thinks I should carry the title? I suppose so.
