There's no real need for the really dumb plot point - particularly because it makes no sense (they go to a boarding school, if the girls couldn't fuck around, EVERYONE would know about it and Hermione would have gotten permission long ago). If Fleur being on the case isn't enough of a reason, just have her needing to psyche herself up for it, which is equally plausible. Being willing to help and getting up the courage to do it are two different things. Just not that nonsense. Please.
