Update on Thrown Back
Added 2023-10-18 21:49:33 +0000 UTCChapter 30 of Thrown Back has been removed for violating Patreon's Community Guidelines. I tried to edit the post to remove anything offensive, but that apparently wasn't enough, and I don't want to play 'Guess what's wrong with this post' if they're not going to just tell me. For now, Thrown Back will be going on a short hiatus until I can rewrite chapter 30 and figure out what to do going forward. You can still find the complete PDF and Epub files over on the discord in the Restricted-Section. Because I've been dealing with this, the next post will be a little late. Sorry for the delay. Oh, and please don't use the i-word in the comments. I don't want this post taken down too.

I'm confused, I just read chapter 30 off Google Drive I cannot see anything offensive at all. Hell, it is one of your more tamer chapters in this story 🤷♂️

2023-10-20 04:34:54 +0000 UTCI don’t know if it’s a work around or not but one of the authors i subscribe to puts a docx file for people to click on. I’m using iPhone and I can open those files from the Patreon app. Don’t know about pdf or epubs though.

(As someone who is also in the creator side of patreon, they’re making a number of poor decisions seemingly designed to meet the expectations of the vc backers - it’s not clear to me you’d ever find out what they require in this instance.)

If not know that the family minders being used in such a way is something I haven't read before and I've been reading FF since I was 12 about 18 years ago. Keep it up Professor 😀

If they don’t want to provide feedback on why you “crossed the line”, then fuck them. You have more important things to spend your time on than trying to make them happy.

Just keep a link on here for discord or where ever you posted it to point people where they need to go to read it.

I'd say either some stupid algorithm decided your chapter was wrong or someone reported you for a malicious reason. There is nothing in the chapter that wasn't present before in other chapters. And overall this is a work of literature for gods sake people can write horror stories of toture and slavery and not get banned. And its certainly not the sex scenes that caused it 'cause that was mild compared to others.

2023-10-18 22:29:12 +0000 UTCDont know how quick the censors pickup on the content with patreon…. But the way I get around this with other forums is to post a bit of it at a time. If they take paragraph 1, then try paragraph 2 and so on until you find the content they find objectionable…. You could even go down to sentence by sentence though that’s obviously a far more time consuming endeavor… it rarely takes me going paragraph by paragraph or even sentence by sentence though… usually what Ill do is split the post in half or thirds, if they take the first half then I know its in the second half and if they reject the first half, well I know its in the first half… whatever portion they reject I split that portion in half again and repeat until either something jumps out at me as "oh that's probably what they're complaining about or I am down to paragraph-by-paragraph and/or sentence by sentence and can figure it out. I've almost never had to rewrite something from scratch... Usually its enough just to modify a few things enough to get it to pass. Of course now I'm wondering if there's some sort of automation that can be done to read the list of paid subscribers every month and tie them to discord accounts and then have a "restricted-section" channel (sort of like you have now) or set of channels per story that's locked to invite only/subscribers you can post to... Then your posts to Patreon would only be to inform us a new chapter is up on discord and Patreon would only be used as a payment processor.
