Abandoned Stories Poll
Added 2024-11-01 16:30:19 +0000 UTCOver the years, and I can't believe I've been doing this for that long, I've abandoned a few stories that weren't popular at the time, or simply because I ran out of ideas. I've had a few requests to bring some of them back, so I decided to run a poll to see how much interest there is. Many of you may not have read or even known these stories existed, so I'll leave this up for the rest of the month to give you a chance to read through them if you're interested. And before anyone asks, I'm not picking up Secret Lessons again. I know a lot of people love it, but I've told the story I wanted to tell and I really don't know where to go with it. If there are other stories you want to see continued, leave them in the comments and I'll see if I can come up with any ideas. Maybe we'll do another one of these some time in the future. I enjoy all your stories , I’m still hoping for a return of the restoration proclamation. I know it wasn’t that popular but I was really getting into it I’ve always been a sucker for Harry getting that big family and love he never got.

The accusation of the "bad house" kinda sticks in the original books and it'd be nicer to see ambition explored more since the original cast had difficulty being active voice. Especially with Harry uniquely positioned as Slytherin's actual heir vs pretender Voldy. Polyamory and Mistressing also fits way better with the magical world clinging to nobility and titles significantly more than the muggle world.

There's one out there that I dont remember getting a proper ending that I really liked but cant remember what it was. Harry Helps Daphne is still high on my list though and I'll add Dangerous Games as well having re-read that. Not sure if that was the story I was thinking of but I liked it on re-read. I like new stories too but I'd much rather see a smaller set of more frequently updated stories and/or other stories closed out than more new stories at the current time. Its difficult to keep track of the plot lines across multiple stories... and I think it may have had something to do with "While the Kids are Away" being on my "dont really like" list as I was not as invested in it as I was other stories at the time so it was more disappointing those stories weren't updated than enjoyable to me that WtKaA was.

Dont remember dangerous games very well so will have to review it again... but my vote if it were open voting would be: Secret Lessons, maybe a final chapter or epilogue since you dont want to continue it just to close it out (will second Erinnyes idea for a scene in which Fleur is able to throw off the imperius) Pandora's Box (again maybe an epilogue or short arc to bring it to conclusion since you dont want to pick this back up either) Harry Helps Daphne and there was another one I think maybe Restoration of House Black or Mistress Clause... or maybe it was something else. Story titles tend to run together so would have to dig through the back catalog of stories... Feel like all your stories need to be reviewed and marked as complete/in-progress/abandoned and re-organized into a pinned post or something because its hard to go back through on Patreon.

2024-11-01 17:01:13 +0000 UTCIf I had multiple votes all I would be muddying the waters for all three stories (plus slave for you as my additional story to continue or do a retake of) which makes it...stastatisticaly unimpactful. Each of them for different reasons. While the kids are away for the plot intrusive and action and the way adult way that harry and his partners deal with the steamy bits and the kinks. Dangerous game because of that take on narcissa in a way being a sheparding dom/his mundane lust genie etc. The surrogate rewrite i have two main reasons it's fun to see that happy steal kink as the general way of pairing up those with harry and the fact that you as the author have brought up that project without prompting more than once over the past so feels like you want to do that project Slave for you has multiple reasons as well. For one it's one of the few if not only Susan forward/main pairing fics. You did well exploring a kink where checkins concent and after care were used and the sub being in control of the limits if memory serves. Plus the romances and characterization seemed to fit so well

That was the whole point at the start, after all, and giving her a "You are not my master" moment would be a badass bow on top of a great story.
