Our next map details a sturdy fortress positioned strategically near a key trade route. It primarily serves as a shelter for guards due to its remote location, but can also function as a stronghold to protect valuable treasures.

Nestled within the initial perimeter wall, there are stables for horses used mainly by patrols, but officers can also use them to quickly alert neighboring forts during crises

The interior includes sleeping quarters for guards and a few spare rooms for servants. During peak occupancy, the guards often share beds, alternating as they rotate shifts. The fortress also features two distinct areas for culinary preparation, situated at both its forefront and rear. Above the forefront mess hall, there is an area where combat practice is conducted when the weather outside is less favorable. Within a square tower, the ground floor serves as a sanctuary for prayer, while the upper level hosts a repository of knowledge in the form of a library.

A handful of bandits find themselves confined in the fortress's dungeons, with occasional high-profile prisoners of war subjected to interrogation in the chambers above, aimed at extracting critical intelligence on enemy movements and tactics.

Within the final building, strategy sessions convene on the second floor around a substantial wooden table, beneath an impressive mounted moose head. This table is where the most skilled of the guards coordinate patrols. A locked room lies just across the table, where valuable treasures and documents are stored.
