The anime sort of turned it into a wordless montage, but in the manga it was narrated that Mirio held off Overhaul and his minions for another 5 minutes AFTER being shot and losing his quirk, which is insane. On top of that, the guy who shot Mirio notes during this 5 minutes that Mirio is still being affected by the dizziness and inhibited sense of balance from the sloshed guy. So hes dizzy / off balance, quirkless, outnumbered, and has to worry about attacks aimed at Eri yet he lasted that long.
