You touched on an interesting topic that would be fun in the future. That is the psychology or education around the electoral college. It's interesting how much time, energy, and thought is dedicated to the "popular vote" turned out when neither candidate is or should trying to get it. It would be like a basketball team championing their rebound % without being able to put points on the board. It's like one team is playing by a different understanding of the rules. It also branches into the fact that we are not a democracy, which is a mysterious point of confusion for so many. So I guess the interesting topic would be more the psychology / mentality of the voting populous when it comes to how our government works vs. how the people think our government works. Is it confusion, propaganda, ignorance, or something else?

The donkey seems appropriate. The only place that is even more chaotic than America is the UK. I think we win in the sheer number of self-destructing politicians but US wins on the likely effect on the world. I trust the democrats to screw it up. I suggest we all get drunk non-stop in the next two years and see what the world has become once we sober up.

They barely won a governorship in a state Obama won twice and Hillary won... wouldn’t say that’s a ringing endorsement of the party. I’ll have to check this one out today.
