2024-09-03 20:34:58 +0000 UTCI think one reason low-effort commentators always go back to "WCW in 2000" is, as Luke said, it's a failed company and they can ignore the fact that ratings don't matter as much as they'd like to pretend they do. That and it stops them from alienating the company they'd like to go back to someday, since I don't think Inferno, Konnan, or Bischoff have the kind of clout of someone like RVD who can just show up for an AEW show, then induct Paul Heyman in the HoF. In other words: carnies gonna work.
