I hope in the next batch they have Roman vs Jinder from MitB 2018. Or the Seth/Corbin match from Stomping Grounds 2019.

Like, I had to check to make sure I didn’t have speed-up on Also, as far as worst commentators go, I feel like people tend to like the play-by-play guys. They’re generally regarded as the good guys, because the heels are heels. Byron Saxton wasn’t a play-by-play guy, he was just a face color commentator, and he was garbage. Just the absolute worst. I’ve never been as annoyed by any commentator (aside from heel Cole during his feud with Lawler but he was at least supposed to be annoying) as I was by Byron Saxton. He was just so, so bad

2025-04-18 18:20:00 +0000 UTCI would argue this is worse than Mania 32, because at least then, Roman & Triple H had a bad match, but the match structure was sensical (if insanely long & dull) & Roman was "coronated" (and it did lead to a fun feud with AJ Styles). Here, they went for a recreation of Mania 31, but the fans were now also kinda sick of Brock too, so the match ends up being a mess & then Roman doesn't even win, which makes him look like a chump. It's one of the most deflating Mania endings I've ever felt (I'd argue even more than Mania 39, but then again, I am a fairly big Roman fan myself).

If you didn't see it coming AND were also dreading top-guy Roman, than I guess I can see the appeal; but they literally spent the pre-WM29 2013 going on, ad nauseum, about how "no one's cashed in at wrestlemania before!" So conversely, if you called it (and also called that this wasn't going to change anything about the Roman experiment) then it's just every "Brock vs other big guy" match post-2012 as a preamble to the crowning of a champion that was treated like a bench-warmer.
