One Piece: Episode 718 [RAW]

Sadly this is the worst it is, they get much better later on though adding filler content to pace it out rather than drag it on. Like they add extra moves in fight or more dialogue in scenes sometimes adding new scenes with canon stuff the current arc is doing that really well

TBH I'd totally be ok if the TOEI released 1 episode every 2 weeks or even 2 back to back each months if it means them not dragging scenes for too long. I'm up to date with the scans and I would hate the Onigashima Arc to feel "long" or "boring".

No... it’s poor decision making by Toei, if they needed time to separate the anime from the manga they could have just covered the cover stories as “filler”. There’s a right and wrong way to do weekly anime and they did it the wrong way. Although, It’s better now.

I cant believe people keep bring up dragging out episodes and pausing.... If they didn't do it, you'd get 1 episode every 2 weeks or so. Do people still not comprehend how anime works? Not to mention Budgeting costs... Just accept it as it is or just read manga instead.

That would be a good idea for OP, as long as they didn’t drag them along. Those covers only showed a scene, so they would still have to create what happens between them. I could see them doing the filler and still having bad pacing 😬

yall should just watch 3-4 episodes every recording at the very least and just keep your same 2 episode per batch upload schedule. This way at least the plot advances enough to keep both yall engaged during a watching session to get thru this shit pacing in dressrosa, but dressrosa in the manga or one pace is 10x more enjoyable

It's like waiting in the lobby. The more you think about the fact you're waiting in the lobby, the more it'll bother you. Watching in batches like this is painless compared to one episode a week.

This is the worst paced episode in the whole series. Honestly one of the pacing things is going back to fights like Bellamy vs Luffy, and Zoro vs Pika. They go back and show fighting, but this fighting was never this long in the manga, it gives us the impression that the fights are taking longer then they actually are.

There's times when the animation reaches an absurd level of quality for a weekly show. Pacing is still off, but I don't think it's ever been consistently as bad as Dressrossa's.

I dropped the manga due to the pacing and waited for the anime back when this arc was weekly. I then would just wait weeks to watch the anime due to the piss poor pacing. Pacing will always be a problem for One piece due to the contracts between fuji tv, toei and Shuiesha. Even wano has pacing issues but the art of the anime/manga hides it because it looks clean and new
