Lycan, bro, nobody is saying that it isn't fate, everyone knows that. It is heavily implied in this show that there is such a thing as fate lmao. The question is tho, would that not contradict their beliefs of being free as a pirate. And about there being "higher beings" that are puppeteers.. that would also mean that luffy and everyone else isn't free. Which would be a hard fucking blow for them. I would expect a reveal like that in aot lol

Really enjoyed these discussions guys and some people don't understand if you don't want discussion in the reaction then just go watch the episode. I suggeste rewatching episode 400 on your own time from 16:00 to 19:00. There is alot of threads that didn't have meaning last time on your first watch. I started reading One Piece since the end of skypiea weekly and every time I give the series a reread I see the bigger picture that Oda hid between the sentence its really rewarding 👍

In Bon-chan vs Jimbei at this moment, I'll choose Bon-chan. They both rescued their life to safe Luffy and could die. But little difference is Jimbei could die or safe and be free. Bon-chan could die or go to Empel Down. So, Jimbei win or lose freedom, Bon-chan lose or lose freedom. That's my point for Bon-chan.

Jimbei almost died via a lava fist twice and then mentally helped Luffy get out a rut. So while Bon Clay helped Luffy physically more times them Jimbei, he never helped Luffy mentally. Their for Bon Clay is not above Jimbei. Also Luffy never asked Bon Clay to join the crew, so he isn't Straw Hat material. Luffy asked zombies in Thriller Bark to join the crew, so they are even over Bon Clay.

Jinbei was so damaged by Akainu that Law had to perform surgery on him. Without Jinbei taking the damage that put his own life in danger Luffy would be dead. I'd say him and Bonchan are on the same tier for Luffy as Zoro but if you wanna compared Jinbei and Bonchan? I mean, Law had to perform surgery on them for a reason. unfortunately jimbe fighting mihawk was filler. sometimes the anime adds stuff that i won't count in this specific debate. vista ultimately saved luffy from mihawk . its hard to rate jimbe and bon clay in terms of loyalty

I'd honestly put Jimbei and Bon-chan at the same level. They both had the heart to ride or die for Luffy. When Akainu had Jimbei and Luffy cornered, Jimbei shielded Luffy (twice) He was ready to die right there, but Crocodile saved them. The only difference between them in Impel Down is that when Bonchan and Jimbei were talking about how to escape, Bonchan volunteered to stay and open the gate because of his powers, and Jimbei was forced to get away on the ship because he was the only one who could get to it. So their unique abilities were the only factor in which one stayed and which one got away.

jembei definitely has done more for luffy than bon chan, and it isnt because of ace. as jimbei stated that he wasnt going to help luffy unless he respected him as a person. jimbei was ready to die by mihawk just to save luffy. jimbei knew he wasnt going to win be he still fought. bon chan ran is all im saying

The Bon and Jimbei comparison doesn't really have a winner. Both saved Luffy's life and risked their life to do so multiple times. Both stood up to way stronger opponents. The amount of times they did something doesn't mean much. It's not one's fault that the other ended up in more situations.

Jimbei took a shot in the chest protecting Luffy while escaping in Marineford. He was also the sole reason Luffy didn't succumb to his grief and completely give up and now he was there to give him his blood. I think its unfair to compare Bonchon to Jinbe because they have both sacrificed so much for Luffy, also Bonchon is alive. Oda confirmed it by putting Bonchon on the cover art of the manga and he is now the Queen of the Newkama in Impel Down.

Haven't watched yet, but I know Lycan gonna be happy
