Yea it kinda triggers me when people like double dragon here get angry at Usopp for what he's doing. Expecting him to suddenly act completely out of character just cus they don't like people with cowardice personalities. It never makes any sense how you cant accept Usopp for who he is instead of calling him a bitch.

To be honest this is one of my favorite Usopp scenes. Usopp isn't Luffy, or Zoro, or Sanji; he's meant to be the weakest Straw Hat, the person closest to a regular human being. Time and time again Usopp proves that he's one of the bravest Straw Hats. Bravery isn't necessarily the absence of fear (i.e. Luffy), but the conquering of it. Scenes like this are my favorite because they show you just how much of a coward Usopp feels like he himself is, reaffirming it even as he ran away, but ultimately conquers those feelings.

I want to point this out, Usopp forgot that Robin existed when she turned into a toy. Since all of Enies Lobby was all about saving Robin, did he forget all of it, or just the parts with Robin in them. What was the reason for Luffy and everyone to go to Enies Lobby, since in their mind Robin doesn't exist. Very interesting concept.

Here's an idea: Double Dragon doing a "gentleman's trade" with each other, where they both write down one of their waifus to give each other, without knowing what the other person will give. I think this would be pretty interesting but also there's no way it wouldn't be hilarious. Like who cares more about being generous or who is just giving a throwaway in the hopes of getting an amazing deal for nothing.

That's something I hadn't considered before. A lot of the courage he gained as Sogeking was all in service of saving Robin so without memory of her it weakens his growth completely.

keep in mind Usopp forgot about Robin right before he ran away, so he doesn't have the same character progression he had obtained when he was in water 7 and Ennis lobby which were his most influential character arcs revolved around saving her.

Honestly the anime did a little better with it besides the dragging out part but in the manga they had usopp running at the end of the last chapter and then everyone was clowning at usopp while waiting for the next chapter then they showed usopp coming back a week later , In the anime it was all one episode
