Spiteful Serpent

Weapon (double-bladed scimitar), rare (requires attunement)

The Spiteful Serpent is among the traditional weapons employed by an elven tribe residing in the southern region of the Greenmoss Swamp. Inspired by the local predator, the Two-headed Jade Viper, this weapon is imbued with a magical enchantment that infuses the blades with a potent venom. This makes the Spiteful Serpent even more challenging to wield than the already complex double-bladed sword. Typically, only trained fighters use this weapon, either in warfare or during specific ceremonies.

Two-Headed Serpent Dance. Once per turn, when you make a melee attack with this weapon and miss, you can choose to reroll the attack roll. You must use the new roll. Additionally, whenever you roll a 20 on your attack roll with this weapon, you can make one additional attack as part of the same action.

Venomous Edge. The weapon holds 3 charges of deadly snake venom. As a bonus action, you can expend one charge to coat the blades with venom. The next creature hit by the weapon takes an additional 3d6 poison damage and must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned until the end of their next turn. The weapon regains all expended charges at dawn.
