Wave Rider Belt

The belt, engraved with images of a crashing wave, glacier, and giant shark, is a symbol awarded to members of the Blood Strider clan upon the completion of their training and rites of passage. Enchanted with the clan's traditional magic, the belt ensures that its wearer can move with ease, regardless of the harshness of the waves. Additionally, it is imbued with ancient elemental enchantments that conjure a protective barrier of flowing water, provided the wearer maintains their momentum. The belt also serves to indicate the wearer's rank and position within the clan, as signified by the number of red knots and shark teeth adorning it.

Wave Barrier. While wearing this belt and you move at least 10 feet on your turn, a swirling barrier of water and energy forms around you, increasing your Armor Class by an amount equal to half your proficiency bonus (rounded down) until the start of your next turn.

Riptide. Whenever you are hit by a melee attack while Wave Barrier is active, you can use your reaction to create a wave to push you away from your attacker. You immediately move up to half your movement speed away without provoking opportunity attacks. The attacker must then succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier, whichever is higher) or be knocked prone by the sudden rush of water. This feature can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and all expended uses are regained after a long rest.
