Though birds are not a species we typically take in, he was an exception with the best reason. A sanctuary was able to adopt four fur farm foxes if we could take him in. This allows more foxes to finally get their freedom and I am a huge bird lover, so itβs a win all around! I have birds of my own, including a rescued cockatoo, so I have lots of bird experience. He is settling in well with us, but he may or may not be a permanent resident if a better opportunity presents itself. I will make sure he gets the best care either way! He will definitely need more toys and perching, so Iβve been adding some to our wishlist.
