For those who haven't read the book and are interested in checking it out: Nye is a transmasc enby who gets reincarnated as a vampire and is immediately gets saddled with a sentient, cursed shield. While attempting to fend of the blood lust of both their own instincts and the shield's, they are given the Role of Knight and forced to protect an attractive (but infuriating!) prince. Throw in some battles with giant monsters, a shield that's too proud for its own good, and a forced-proximity romance, and all sorts of hijinks ensue. You might enjoy this if you like:
