Game Diary: 004

Hello everyone! So, recently I've been working on all the pear descriptions, of which I'm half way done. I decided to start with pear, then do apple/belly and finish up with strawberry. At the moment it takes me 1-2 days to finish one description, and that amount of time will probably go up to 2-3 days for larger descriptions, so I predict that I won't finish all these descriptions until mid-late April. Side note, I'm going on a trip in late March and I won't be back until early April.

I'm not sure if I talked about how descriptions and weight works in the new version, but here's a run down of how it works. So, as you might have noticed you can now changed your characters height, which will also decrease or increase your weight. This increase or decrease in weight is because the game is adjusting your PPI (pounds per inch). The PPI is a system I made to make sure that regardless of weight and height the game can figure out how "fat" you are. For example 500 pounds at 4'11 would look a lot different at 6'3 so I had to make a system to account for that. The way the game figures out PPI at the start of the game is kind of complicated, but basically what it first does is figure out what the PPI for the base line is, which the baseline is the player at 5'7 has a PPI of 7.46 at 500 pounds, from here the game does a little reverse math to figure what your weight should be depending on your height. It does this by taking your height and multiplying it to the baseline PPI, so if your 6'3 it would be 75*7.46, which gives us a weight of 559.5 pounds, but I round this number so its more like 560. From here the game doesn't ever use the baseline PPI again as the players weight is now calibrated to be synced with the PPI system, if I ever allow the player to change their weight I'll need to make a system to recalibrate it, or maybe I won't, it would be kind of cool if you were like 300 pounds at 6'3 and slightly cubby, PPI of 4, and then losing that height and becoming 4'11 and keeping that same weight, changing that PPI to 5.08 or maybe you were way tall and then get way short, or vice-versa. Could lead to some cool events or something, but also this system is in place for the Emerald dragoness so that I can keep track of her weight regardless of her size, which will let me more easily different heights for her in the settings.

Anyways that's everything for this post, I hope you guys look forward to seeing all the descriptions and the PPI system fully added in as much I do. Until next time!
