State of development

Hello everyone! So, I'm going to be blunt: development is behind where I want it to be. I really wanted to be done with the fat elf description this week, but with finals coming up and I worked six days this week things have been slow going, plus I've come down with a nasty cold.

Anyhow, with that out of the way lets talk about where development sits as of now. Right now I'm still working on the fat descriptions. These descriptions have taken me quite a while to finish but I've also been putting a level of detail and description into it that I haven't done before. Usually when writing the races I do human and then change it so that it fits each race I need as well as adding any other details I might want to add. However, as the sizes get bigger I realized that each race should get more unique from human/default. Which is why development has suddenly slow down. I've been rewriting the fat description for each race, starting with the elf race. This is no easy task, but its still a lot harder than I thought it would be. However, the pay off in quality and variety with the races descriptions will be well worth the extra time and effort. For example here is a little bit of writing from the new descriptions:

Human:

Looking down at your face the first thing you notice is how bloated with fat it's gotten. Your cheeks too have further porked up, starting to give you a chipmunk appearance. A few dozen pounds ago you might have been able to pass for just overweight, maybe a chubby, but your double chin has fully blossomed into a thick roll that can’t be ignored. Your jawline continues to sink under the continuous waves of fat that coat it and the rest of your body. Beyond just your fatter appearance you also have seen changes to your skin. In particular your {} skin now boasts a near constant layer of sweat and oil on your brow, and if you do any physical activity you’re quickly drenched in sweat that runs down your face and stains your clothes. You’re truly in fat territory now.

Elf:

Looking down at your face the first thing you notice is how disgustingly bloated with fat it's gotten. Your cheeks bulge out with lard, making you look like a farmers prized pig; fat and juicy; ready to be turned into bacon, ham and pork chops. A few dozen pounds ago you might have still had some dignity , maybe even some semblance of self respect, maybe you could have even stopped this, however the thick roll that makes up your double chin indicates that you’ve lost any dignity, self respect and restraint. Your once sharp jawline has been dulled to the point of being unrecognizable, like a once sharp knife being used to cut something it wasn’t meant for. You weren't meant to be an elf, you were born to be a piggy. Beyond just turning yourself something that resembles a pig your skin has gone the extra mile to add those extra piggy details. Your once fair {} skin is now coated in a constant layer of disgusting sweat and oil, especially on your browline. Not only this but your extra girth has resulted in your sweating beads that drench your clothes and skin whenever you do any physical activity, not to mention that you huff and puff under the strain of all those extra pounds.

I think that I've done a pretty good job in changing the feel of the descriptions for the race. Its a lot of extra work, but I think it pays off pretty well.
