Added 2024-02-27 08:29:56 +0000 UTCHi all, it's become apparent that some people are having trouble getting the chapters, so I've been thinking of a workaround.
Firstly, make sure you've connected your discord to your Patreon on Patreon; it's in the settings under Connected Apps (on the browser, not the app). Secondly, would you guys like me to make a Patreon-only server to keep the chapters on, which will be much smaller and easier to navigate?
It's easy enough to do and if it makes things easier for those of you that aren't as big on discord, I'll set it up
Edit: Between here and Discord there doesn't seem to be a clear decision so for now I'm going to put the Patreon channels in their own category, now under Shiro's Patreon Channels instead of Shiro's Studio. They should be fairly easy to find, just look for Patreon on the category list. I realise the server is hard to navigate for new people but there's a few too many cons for me to make the jump straight over to a new server just yet so we'll see how it goes like this first. 2024-04-28 06:44:11 +0000 UTCThe problem is that apple devices can’t access any discord server that is listed as 18+, it’s fine if the server was normal but most channels were NSFW, but the server itself has to be not rated 18+.

2024-04-28 06:43:45 +0000 UTCI think it’s fine how it is. Once I had the channel, it’s been working great. I copied the channel link to my own personal server I have so I can just click the link and be taken straight there. We can also just wait for the ping and ride the notification there.

2024-02-27 11:05:14 +0000 UTCI had issues with getting access initially as well even though discord was connected. There was a second place under the connected apps in discord where it listed all the connected Patreon servers and I had to click join server for yours there as well, then it worked.

People are lazy, and if shit gets too complicated, they'll just unsub(for the current month) and not bother with it. Even if it is an arguably easy process for veteran Discord/Patreon users. So that's lost income for you. You gotta cater to the lowest denominator to prevent as many barriers as you can to new /continued subs. Then, you would only have to deal with egregious problems with people connecting to the Discord, instead of having to answer questions all the time on how to connect.

It's annoying having to scroll through all the sperg to find the actual google doc links to current/previous chapters. If people want to talk about patreon chapters, there could be a 'patreon spoilers channel'

I don't interact with chat, just stay in that one channel and check pinned messages whenever you update the post on patreon or whenever my phone notifies me of a new message @ patreons, whichever reaches me first.

Maybe a step-by-step guide would help new people, but I think the biggest problem is definately the navigating the server (even being a member for a while). If you don't want to make a separate server, maybe just make the channel part of the update tab and limit it to just you posting updates then have the channels in your section for discussion
