I am very sorry to say that I've had to put this Patreon on pause for a little while. I've suspended billing, so you shouldn't get charged tomorrow. I will keep the billing suspended until the end of September, and the hope is that by then I'll be in a position to get back to work on this!

While all my friends up north keep talking about the endless heat waves they're experiencing, down here we're elbow-deep in one of the coldest winters we've ever had here in Johannesburg. It even snowed here this July, and that's something that almost never happens here!

While there was a lot of novelty to having some snow here for a change, the interminably bitter cold has brought a whole heap of other problems on the electrical front... Several times in the last month, we've had unplanned outages that each took well over 8 hours to fix, and that's on top of the regular 7.5 hours of rolling blackouts that we usually have to deal with on a daily basis. Dealing with the cold without the benefit of electric heaters is a challenge all of its own, but the real struggle is the one of losing over 60 hours of productivity, several weeks in a row. Having so much productive time just erased away has really made it nearly impossible to keep up with the deadlines I'm currently trying to meet, so unfortunately there's just no way I can keep up with all of that and still put the necessary time in here.

As I mentioned, you won't be billed for the start of August, or the start of September. By mid-September, I should have wrapped up almost all of the work I have to do, so I should be able to get back to this then. Sorry to do this to you all... I hope you understand and that you'll stick around so you can be here for my return!
