I feel as though brooks devil fruit didn't just revive him it gave him a functioning living body even though he is a skeleton which would explain why he's able to sweat cry see hear and taste food even though he has no tongue

I'm 100% sure he agreed thinking he was going to die. But he didn't, he survived. And all he had to say about it was "Nothing Happened". Because he knows that if Luffy ever found out what really went down. Luffy would never be able to forgive himself. Knowing Zoro sacrificed himself and took on his own pain would crush Luffy.
