My Peace
Added 2025-05-24 00:36:50 +0000 UTCThe spa was hands down my favorite part of the hotel stay. They provide cozy pajamas and slippers, and you head down to the spa carrying your towel. Before entering, you place your slippers in a plastic bag and store them, along with your pajamas, in a cubby—since the spa experience is done nude.
Upon entering, the first step is to wash thoroughly at one of the shower stalls (that’s where I’m sitting in the photo), and then you soak in the large, serene hot tub. Afterward, there’s a grooming area where you can dry your hair and take care of any personal needs in front of a mirror. As you leave, they offer cups of water to rehydrate. The entire setup was just incredible—unlike anything I’ve experienced before.
Phones aren’t allowed in the spa, but I woke up at 5 AM to have the space to myself and capture a few moments. I wanted to show just how beautiful and peaceful it was. Lately, I’ve really been holding onto my peace—taking time to clear my mind, pray, and express gratitude for my life and the experiences that continue to shape me. I love doing that alone, and in a place like this, it felt deeply spiritual.
Spending four days in the spa left me feeling nourished and completely reset. I’m heading home with a full heart.

Wonderful images! Some of my friends have relaxed in the hot springs of Japan and Europe. I'm hoping to visit at least one of these places in the near future. What I wouldn't give for a place like Tubs in the Seattle area (It was in the U District about 15 years ago) so I could stretch my back and hips. Arcata, CA has a hot tub/sauna and coffee shop Spa that I soaked in with my friends a few years ago. Highly recommended as a place to sit under the stars in a crisp Autumn night's air.
