Development Update v0.02 | Character Portraits - SFW

Hello everyone,

As promised, I'm thrilled to show the additional characters we will be seeing in this update! I will be posting these portraits publicly over the coming weeks during development, but you get to see them first. At the bottom of this post, I will go over the current progress that has been made and what's left for v0.02.

Jesse's family:

• Carter (Father)

• Krystal (Mother)

• Lior (Younger Brother)

Nathaniel's family:

• Kaden (Father)

• Renée (Mother)

This will not be the full cast, and more characters will be added in the coming updates. However, who they are will have to stay a mystery—I can't spoil all of the fun.

Progress on Current Update

Character designs have been locked in, and outfits and variations of those have been selected and customized! The outline for this update has been completed along with the dialogue.

What I am focusing on now is posing and rendering. Of course, after the images have been completed, coding will be the next step. Thankfully, the demo covers all systems, which means there is no guesswork to get future coding to work.

Music production happens as I'm building a scene; this allows me to get a feel for what I'm working with. Music is one of the last steps to be fully completed.

Foundational Building

I will be honest, I underestimated the amount of work still needed for the "foundation" of the world I'm building. I've been hard at work finishing Jesse's house. The great news is that the sections for this update are completed and fully built. This means I can focus on posing. These areas will be used in future updates, which means posing and CGs can become a priority instead of having to build a new area for each section.

There are future areas that will need to be built, but those will be for the following updates.

• Nathaniel's house (bedroom)

Timeline

I was originally aiming for the end of this month for release. I am not 100% confident that I will hit that goal, but I will continue to post updates as we get closer, with where I'm at and what I'm seeing.
