Hey everyone,
It's been a little over two weeks, and progress is well underway on Secret Dawn update v0.13. As usual, I'll share a bit about what's been done so far while avoiding any story spoilers, particularly now that things are really heating up.
I've made a few new maps that are looking and playing well. One of them becomes accessible a bit earlier in the game and remains available from that point forward. It will help fill in gaps in the daytime, especially for Jon. I've also worked on new BGMs and sound effects, and added some new bust art for Eva and another female character.
There are also updates to UI and mechanics that I can talk about. The title screen menu now reflects your available saves. The "Load" button only appears if any saves exist, including premade saves. A "Continue" button appears once you've made your own save, allowing you to quickly resume your playthrough.
The sprint mechanic introduced in the last update has been slightly nerfed to prevent the most obvious clipping issues. It is now press-to-activate rather than hold, but it's still a short sprint. Since the default 'F'-key can be a bit awkward, sprint and fast-forward can now be rebound through the Keyboard Config.
As I mentioned last month, I am a bit encumbered during these two months, but I still expect to deliver v0.13 without a significant delay. The promise to pause billing if it ends up more than two weeks late (around June 12) still stands. So far that doesn't seem like it will be necessary, but I'll let you know if anything changes.
I'll also be uploading Super-Fan goodies soon. There's plenty to choose from, but I haven't put it together just yet due to ongoing work on the update. Stay tuned.
