Chapter 486: Kainan, Hello, I Am Zimourman
Added 2025-06-05 15:06:01 +0000 UTCPenny seemed to sense that Charlot had noticed something. She flashed a charming smile, one with a faint touch of allure.
Charlotâs mind buzzed with questions. He couldnât quite figure out what this girl truly was and could only remain vigilant.
The remaining two monsters were easy to "fill the numbers." After a few minutes, another group of monsters was drawn by the sound of gunfire and charged toward them. Charlot didnât give his companions a chance to react. With guns in hand, he effortlessly cleared the area, killing all the monsters. An exit opened behind them. Youna quickly set the corpses ablaze, unexpectedly obtaining a shard of divinity. Excitedly, she exclaimed, âLetâs leave quickly!â
âThis time, weâre sure to win,â she added.
The two young men nodded repeatedly, clearly overjoyed. They had heard that participating in the Evil Godâs Arena was exceedingly dangerous, but with Charlotâs involvement, it had turned out surprisingly easy.
Charlot smiled and said, âLetâs leave quickly, everyone.â
Youna and the two young men carried their spoils and stepped into the sanctuary. As soon as they entered, the exit behind them closed. They froze for a long moment before shouting in unison, âWhy didnât Kainan and Penny come out?â
This had never happened before. The three youths were visibly shaken, but they didnât have long to linger in the sanctuary before a mysterious force expelled them from the Evil Godâs Arena.
Youna spotted the academyâs instructor and ran toward him, crying, âKainan and Penny didnât make it out. Teacher, what do we do?â
The instructor responsible for this event at the Golden Kite Academy shook his head and said, âOur academy only had the three of you chosen by the Evil God. Besides, where would Kainan and Penny come from? In my ten years as a teacher, Iâve never heard of such students.â
Youna and the two boys exchanged uneasy glances, chills running down their spines.
Had they been⊠teamed up with something else?
What exactly were those two?
Charlot, noticing Penny hadnât left either, felt a slight unease.
Penny observed his nervous reaction, smiled sweetly, and said, âLetâs reintroduce ourselves. Kainan, hello, Iâm Zimourman.â
Charlotâs vision darkened. He would rather face ten Evil Gods than confront Zimourman Axel Robin. He bit his lip to stop himself from blurting out something foolish like, âWhy are you a woman?â
Currently disguised as a young man using Beast God Transformation and Bloodfire Combat Energy, Charlot wasnât sure if Zimourman recognized him or not. However, Zimourman certainly didnât know his true identity. The thought of exposing himself was unthinkable.
Deep down, Charlot resolved, âKainan, you are Kainan. You are definitely not Charlot Mecklenburg!â
âZimourman?â he muttered.
âYou havenât heard this name before?â Zimourman responded with another charming smile. âWell, now you have.â
Judging from your marksmanship and transformation skills, you must have inherited Tumisanâs true teachings. That old leopard sure knows how to keep secretsâhe didnât even teach you the Leopard Tribeâs secret arts.â
Charlot inwardly wanted to applaud Zimourman. I didnât even know the old leopard was proficient in gun techniques, he thought. Keeping his composure, Charlot said in a low voice, âTeacher Tumisan never talked about his background.â
Zimourman explained, âHeâs one of the seven leaders of the Old Continentâs Orc Assassin Alliance. A Saint-ranked assassin whose techniques are unparalleled.â
Charlot thought, Your evaluation of the old leopard is oddly high!
âI didnât think he was anything special,â Charlot replied, trying to deflect.
Seeing Charlot still somewhat wary, Zimourman smiled again, lightly biting his lip. âEveryone else has left. Thereâs no need for me to maintain my disguise anymore.â
A faint glow radiated from his body, and the âPennyâ façade cracked inch by inch. What emerged was a young woman whose beauty rivaled the most delicate rose in a garden.
Charlot barely kept his composure, though his thoughts were racing. Menielman Senior!
However, Zimourmanâs transformation seemed tinged with mischief. Though he claimed there was no need for disguise, his new appearance was even more dazzling. Menielman Soumetâs title as the Empireâs First Rose was no accident. This version of Menielman, though, appeared younger and carried a unique charmâless icy, more sultry, exuding a subtle allure.
Charlot initially dismissed it, but after several seconds, sweat began to form on his forehead. Stealing glances at Zimourman, he realized something was off. This woman wasnât Menielman. While the resemblance was uncanny, a small mole beneath her left eye set her apart. Menielman didnât have that.
There was no reason for Zimourman to make such a specific alteration unlessâŠ
Charlot grimly concluded, This isnât Menielman Seniorâitâs her mother, Lady Soumet.
Charlot had once helped Menielman investigate the Imperial Rose Incident and was vaguely aware of Lady Soumetâs striking resemblance to her daughter. The two women were practically identical, both stunningly beautiful.
This detail made Charlot suspect a startling possibility. Has Zimourman not recovered all his memories?
Could he actually believe this is his true form?
And is he⊠confused about his gender?
Testing the waters, Charlot asked cautiously, âI have some orc blood, so I only have a first name. But your name sounds nobleâdonât you have an impressive family name?â
Zimourman chuckled softly. âI am Zimourman Soumet.â
Charlot resisted the urge to roll his eyes. Do you also have a sister named Menielman Soumet? he thought sarcastically.
But he knew better than to provoke someone who had caused countless storms in the past. Although Zimourmanâs fragmented memories seemed to limit his threat, Charlot couldnât predict his next move.
Quickly shifting to a safer topic, Charlot said, âI intend to kill all the monsters in the dungeon. Why did you stay behind?â
Zimourman smiled faintly. âI need divine shardsâall of them.â
Charlot, though aware of their value, had no use for them himself. More importantly, he didnât want to clash with such a terrifying figure. âVery well, letâs cooperate,â he said without hesitation.
Zimourman smiled again...
