Universal Mode is the future of Videochat Extension.
It can monitor your WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) activity.
If necessary, it can operate at the browser level, ensuring that the website you want to monitor cannot detect that you are tracking WebRTC.
1. Ensure that you installed the extension from Chrome Web Store:
We are going to publish a microsoft edge version later.
2. Now, click on the extension icon in the top right corner of your browser, scroll to 'Support us on Patreon', click it, then go to 'Account' and hit 'Login'.

3. Log into your Patreon account (its social login, so we can't see your password), as a way to verify that you're a patron.

4. Once you're logged in, close the popup (menu) and open it again on any real website. The universal mode button will first be gray, but it'll turn green once we recognize your patronage.

5. Click the button, and it'll ask you to enable a chrome flag at chrome://extensions-on-chrome-urls.

You are good to go!
Open the popup on any WebRTC site and click 'Start Universal Mode'

Important: This flag grants extensions more power than they should have, so DO NOT install extensions in developer mode from unknown sources with this flag enabled.
If you install extensions only from Chrome Web Store, you will be perfectly fine.
99.9% of extensions do not declare a need to access browser internals. Google is extremely cautious about extensions that request such access, making it highly unlikely for extensions with this level of access to EVER turn malicious.
After you enable the flag, you will receive a 'You are using an unsupported command line' warning after each browser launch.
This is by design; more information can be found here.
This flag is dangerous, but it is not truly 'unsupported.' It is marked as 'never expires' in your browser's source code, and here is a screenshot of Google Chrome from 2013:

You can suppress the warning by adding the --test-type parameter to your browser shortcut (NOT RECOMMENDED), of turning off the flag in chrome://flags (but extension will stop working on a browser level).

If you have found some websites that are not working with the extension, please let us know.
We have a patron-only channel in our Discord server, so you can link your discord account to your Patreon account and join the discussion there.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We also need feedback from you to make the extension better, like on which websites it works, and on which it does not.
