It's good seeing so much more variety in this sequel, am I right?

Know the girls from the last movie looked like Agent Honeydew from Dial M for Monkey. She was another girl that was ...questionably fascinated with a hairy little animal guy. Coincidence? Ha thats what they want you to think.

Get ahead in the film business. 13:02 Hmmm think that dogs been through more heads than Professor Xavier.

Knowing Hugo, hed so go for Rita's mom shamelessly.

I used to have several 'Hugo' movies on one of those cheap '12 Family Films' DVDs. I don't know who came up with him or how, but the best I can figure is that he is the unholy spawn of Marsupilami and Gurgi while he was still IN the cauldron! How else does one explain the abominable necromancy that gave entirely unnatural life to this creature of nightmares?!?!

I watched the Danish version and thought it was passable. But this english version is just plain bad. The voice acting sucks; the music is completely different; just everything they changed made it worse.

Valid points you made about the story in this sequel and how it could have been made stronger. But I do think it's an okay addition to the first movie, as it does take the humans' chase of Hugo for the movie business a step further and does create a problem for Rita and Hugo to solve when it comes to their friendship/relationship which problem did not exist at the first movie's point of time. Together they form a solid entity. And the answer to your question; the first movie was V-E-R-Y popular, causing this sequel too to be released in theatres. Again, talking about the original films and not these shitty english versions that changed and butchered all aspects of the films except for the drawings and animation. I don't have any numbers but obviously the originals made enough money for them to dare create and release a TV series 10 years later. Granted, it ran only for one season, but still. You need to remember these are not '90s Disney movies which were made to be family films. These were targetted mainly for little kids and beloved among said target group. And now by those of us who were in the target group back in the day. You know, what with the nostalgia blast. Although there are adult reviewers from US and other english speaking countries who thus never saw these films as children but enjoyed and recommend them. So these can be enjoyed by adults too even without the affect of nostalgic glasses. But note that they were reviewing the original Danish versions and not these english dub ones.

Yas. Cool character. Foxes rock.

Gee, thanks for compelling me to Google what Chirpy is. Enough nightmare fuel for weeks now. =X_x=

That animal trainer they bring in kind of looks like Dr. Rusty Venture from Venture Bros. Am I the only one who sees it? Another great review Bobsheaux!

Brandon Croker
