2020-03-08 15:11:12 +0000 UTCThis "movie" bothers me immensely... First: How can someone like Daryl, a man who CONSTANTLY overcompensates for everything, manage to rope in so many people into this? He tries comes off tough and strong, but is clearly out of shape and uses weapons as means to appear impressive. He tries to build himself up as the "New Mr. Rogers"... but he most of actions come off as a half-assed-act he putting up for the cameras and clearly is in it for the fame and money than for need of others... Tries to act like an mature responsible adult but is comes off immature impulse jerk who, by how how his "planned' filming goes, doesn't think things trough well enough... and that's from his own work in general. He gets worse from stories from others who had the displeasure working for him, let alone talk to. So... how did he manage to get so far with this much people? ... aside from money of course.

Her lips are pursed, her eyes are looking away from Derek at times, and it overall just looks like she doesn't want to be here. Poor woman.

As a woman who grew up with guns I am not an expert in using one, but I learn the safety of dos and don'ts of them and right now Derek Savage is a complete moron in teaching the wrong ways of gun usage and safety for women just like he is a complete moron in giving good advice to kids.

2020-01-23 16:45:14 +0000 UTCMy only training with gun handling and safety is what I learned from my time in the Boy Scouts and I'm still impressed at how much Darryl manages to screw up in just the clips you've shown us. I know for a fact that if he behaved like that on a gun range run by the any of the scoutmasters I learned from, he'd be thrown out on his butt within about a minute of stepping on range. No wonder most of the scenes with actual shooting are in the desert outside of his house, he's probably banned from most of the ranges in the city. Also, it might just be me, but Darryl comes off as really condescending. Not just in this, but in the Cool Cat "movies" as well. He acts like he thinks he knows better than the audience and spends the whole time talking down to them.

People are shocked to realize I'm in the room. As for actual comments on the video, the water bottle running gag was fantastic, and... tell me if this has happened to anyone else: I only JUST noticed that during the Cool Cat Boogie, it's supposed to be Cool Cat singing. It's just so obviously Savage singing that I assumed it was supposed to be Daddy Derek, didn't notice at all that clearly it was supposed to be Cool Cat on the mic.

The concept of abuse being addressed by this gun safety video is mentioned by Derek and thankfully not actually shown further than that. . . as a survivor of DV, I can tell Derek that having a gun at all in a DV situation doesn't do anything positive! What a complete tool!
