2020-04-28 01:10:45 +0000 UTCIf they wanted to make the daughter or Red Riding Hood have wolf like traits, why not say the Big Bad Wolf bit her when he tried to eat her and thus she became a werewolf with the curse passed onto her children instead of making the BIG BAD Wolf a good guy? Also, I do like the theory that the other comments made that Duchess is not the daughter of Odette from the original story, but the evil imposter/daughter of Rothbart, Odile.

2020-04-23 13:38:25 +0000 UTCI'm sure we can think of Ashlynn Ella's second name as a second name not a family name. Prince Charles is Prince Charles Phillip Arthur George, after all. I was going to suggest that maybe she and the Prince Charming she was expected to marry could be cousins instead of siblings. That might trigger a “Must be a Bobsheaux” alert for you, but it is a part of even recent history (Victoria and Albert were first cousins, after all, and people of the time didn’t consider it incest). And for that matter Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip are both second and third cousins (and a lot of other cousins besides, if one goes back further.) It might be something one wants to keep from kids now, but it is only recently that we commonly had major European royals marrying their unrelated personal trainers and people they went to college with. But it turns out even that doesn’t work. According to Wikipedia, Daring and Dexter are the sons of the King Charming from “every story where a Prince Charming comes to the rescue.” That means Ashlynn Ella has to be at least their half-sister. And it also means either King Charming committed polygamy / bigamy or we have a Henry VIII situation, negating Happily Ever After. You’re right. They really didn’t fully think all of this through.

I believe Duchess is the daughter of the BLACK swan, the one who suppose to pretend to be the REAL Swan Princess in the ballet, to which is why she wants to take other Princesses roles... Heck, she was a black swan in one clip you showed here... But not a major mistake... I don't think they showed the REAL Swan Princess overall in the series.

I always thought of this one as a Monster High rip off of the Disney Princess craze and an attempt to capitalize on that! I think those were by the same people that did Bratz dolls and I really, really don't like that line at all or the materials that go along with it! It's toxic juvenelia! You are right, though, the Mad Hatter's daughter hearing the narrator is perfect and that should've been given more focus for comedy's sake. I hope you are both able to stay sane while staying in! So are we to think she had a kid with someone she met as a little girl while he was already an adult? (Or the WAY dark and creepier alternative) It'd be a lot better if Cerise's dad was, say, the younger brother or son of the Big Bad Wolf.

I mean, it's not as infuriating as Descendants, but COME ON! The format fights the story, the character designs are HORRIBLE (mostly due to fashion), and I don't think they fully know what to do with the ideas they got. Or maybe my love of nextgen spin offs combined with my own ideas is clouding my judgement. That being said, your fixes are awesome.

But wow, I remember losing my mind in delight when they actually showed a kiss between two of the girls. (Some try to argue that it wasn't a kiss, it was CPR, so it doesn't count, except: The camera lingered on their lips pressed together, and we clearly see the glow of magic. And the recipient of said kiss woke up from her enchanted sleep, so the spell CLEARLY counted this as a TRUE LOVE's kiss.)
