Zombillenium Review

How can an amusement park crawling with monsters have so little going for it?

Also, Gretchen might look nice from behind, but maaaan you'd think the daughter of the literal Devil would have a better looking face, not a nose like a potato.

Oh yeah, I remember this movie, again based on a comic nobody heard about. Such a waste, and full of illogical things - like, why does the guy decide to pretend he does not exist after his transformation and hide from his daughter? And why would the vampire owner think it is a good idea to turn an official sent to examine his circus into a demon-thing? Does he think this will make the city council just forget about his lack of safety examination? In reality the cops would have been there the next day after people would start missing this guy. Also, why is this guy so dumb to start and threaten a vampire after clearly seeing that he IS a vampire? Not to mention the whole big allegory about the zombies basically representing the downtrodden worker class. Someone writing this is still stuck in Marxist socialism class of the 1950s... (Also, minus points for severe lack of werewolves in this movie...)

The garlic thing actually does kinda make sense to me. Spread a rumor that you have a weakness that heroes might try to use to stop you so their guard is down. Then when the "weakness" fails, the hero gets killed by the vampire. Since vampires tend to be fairly well hidden, it's possible they were just repeat this process over and over to wipe out any who would try to stop them. No one can report back after a TPK. Plus, there was a recent episode of Food Theory how it's likely vampires would find garlic useful.

Now, I want to say two things. First of all, as a serial shipper I know this doesn't mean a lot, but I actually assumed Gretchen and Hector would get together from the moment Hector almost crashed into her. Second, if we have to have Hector and Gretchen become a thing, could we have done less to give Gretchen a "teenage rebellious daughter" thing? Makes it a little creepy given how Hector already has a kid

It says a lot when Goosebumps did the concept of a theme park run by monsters a lot better
