Wrinkles on the head

Im taking a lil break of practicing drawing cars to share a lil scene where I drew a different car. Why did I task myself which so much car drawings?? For me? It’s up there with horses and bicycles in the list of torture. Sometimes I say it’s a way of training like yeah gonna give myself things I struggle drawing but no it’s masochism is what is!

Anyways.

This chase scene is from a comic pitch I was working on with a writer. He wrote it in so I clear my name , in this scenario, of any wrong doing against myself. We’ve been kind of working on this for a while, he came to me with the story and I would send some sketches and then character designs etc etc. It was really fun though it was hard to communicate sometimes because of the time difference. You’d think you’d get the hang of a 9 hour difference after like over a year but nope ! Not here! Not me! Ultimately I kinda decided that I might not be the suitable artist since we had a general opposite idea of how the book should look. Like, some elements I was excited about were elements he wasn’t and vice versa. You kind of realize we genuinely just have opposite aspirations for the project. Not for it’s success or anything but for what you get to do on a project. Does that make sense? Anyways, it was cool though. We just agreed that we should have fun on this and maybe we’re not aligned on this project but maybe we could work on something later since working on it together was fun.

I’ll be sure to share some of the designs and sketches I did for this whole concept. For now I’ll leave ya with the final pages, of a chase scene for one of the main characters. God, I would’ve started a trope in my work!

The ultimate trope will end up being me drawing fucking cars just you watch. I think about this before getting back to drawing while Knives Out Glass Onion plays in the background. I love the mystery of it yknow? The mystery I remember every time I see it. Just why is Batista’s head so wrinkled?
