Update: Out the Other Side and Back to Work – June 27, 2019

Hello Everyone, sorry it took a bit for me to post an update about my health, the game’s status and such, but as soon as I got the “all clear” from the doctor and felt good enough, I hit the ground running and haven’t taken much time to look behind me!!

I had the doctor’s appointment last Wednesday and they removed the stent out of me… a mighty uncomfortable way, as you’ll probably imagine and I won’t get into here… and was informed that that they were able to completely clear my right kidney of ALL stone burdens!!

Which means, they were able to remove the 3mm and 1mm stones that were in there when they got the 9mm one. As for the cause of so many, well, apparently it is a combination of 3 things… one: the disease that has slowly been eating away at my body and breaking down the bones and my inability to process calcium properly… two: due to the disease that has been slowly eating away at my bones and spine (requiring multiple surgeries on my spine, neck and back) and the painkillers that I have to some days take to function, well, they’ve made my kidneys somewhat weak and not filtering at 100% (something we will have to keep an eye on)… and three: certain foods that I must now limit or remove from my diet (spinach, peanuts, peanut butter, etc.)…

Anyhow, after a day of rest on Thursday and finally no longer feeling like I had to use the restroom after I had just got done using it, I got back to work on the game on Friday and have been working endlessly on it since… still a good ways to go to get all of “Chapter Two” but the script is fully finished and just the rendering and animation needs to be done on it.

As mentioned, I hadn’t been completely idle the entire month that I was dealing with the stones, doctors, painkillers and such, I had been working with Epadder and Sierra3 on some other things that we wanted added to the game that could be done without taking a massive toll on me.

Still, there is something that I feel we all need to discuss…

I get everyone’s frustration that the next update is going to BE LATE, trust me… no one is more upset about it than I am!!

I also understand the frustration that some of you may feel and in the fact that there have been many creators out there that give "sob" stories about their lives and bail on the promises that they make to you and why many of you are leery and gun shy about supporting creators because of it.

I get it, believe me, I am not just a creator here… I ALSO support many other creators as well and have watched people disappear to never be heard from again.

I am NOT like that!!

I make NO SECRET about WHO I AM… unlike many creators out there, I don’t HIDE my identity, you can find my personal Facebook paged linked here, which in turn will take you to my Twitter, my LinkedIn and everything… I did this because I am NOT ashamed of the work that I do (though I do kind of want to keep it from my mom who is ULTRA religious) and because I don’t want to keep ANYTHING from any of you who choose to support me!!

I have goals and desires to one day make this my FULL-TIME JOB and CAREER, to gainfully employ people and build a solid Adult Gaming Studio from the ground up and quit doing MoCap Cleanup work for other game studios for a living… I WANT to tell MY stories, build my own games and do something NO ONE has really succeed in doing except for the Asian markets… which is, building TOP SHELF Adult Games, that has OUTSTANDING and INGROSSING stories/characters, where players don’t have to worry about sharing those platforms with kids, censorship or Lego expansion packs!!

IF you feel that you need to remove your patronage till such time as I can PROVE myself to you again, or because money for you is tight… DO SO!! 

I get it! I do! 

Like you, I have bills to pay (now doctor bills on top of them!) and, as such, I have to work a FULL-TIME job like many of you do! Right now, “Wicked Choices” and “Adventures of a Changed Boy” and $1,000 a month doesn’t make enough for me and the others to QUIT our normal jobs and work on our game FULL-TIME yet… we’d like to get there one day, but today is NOT that day… sadly. 

So PLEASE, be patient with us! We are working as fast and as much as we can for the support that we get from you! If you need to bail for now, DO SO, take care of yourselves, provide for your families, spend where you feel you can and need to… but, PLEASE, come back and look in on us from time to time, consider supporting once more if you do… it helps us and we appreciate it.
