Radiant Idol and Gray Render

It's an angel too prideful and self-obsessed to chill in the upper planes, so it hangs in the Material and tricks mortals into worshipping it. Their wings are bad and busted, and in fact they're so bad at flying that they'll mess up any flying magic near them.
The Gray Render is this crazy ape-rhino-beetle creature that's most notable feature in previous editions was that it goes around adopting random animals from its environment and mom-ing them. 4e got rid of that bit of lore, then 5e brought it back but with no mechanics.
