Cave Fisher and Lava Child
Added 2022-02-18 19:00:05 +0000 UTCThe cave fisher is a fun hybrid of a big scorpion and the Barnacles from half life. They drip down some sticky stuff, then drag it back up. Now that's pretty cool already, but I did some work to clean up the stat block and make it easier to parse. It can now Reel as a reaction to a creature sticking to its filament or failing to escape it, and its flammable blood now makes it catch on fire instead of gaining vulnerability, taking fire damage each turn but also adding fire damage to all of its attacks. Finally, it got a poisonous bite it can use to replace the disadvantage I took away from the filament itself.
The lava child is creepy as hell. They're elementals bound into big baby golem bodies by genies, and they've got big grinning mouths that don't move when they talk. They can swallow a creature the same size as themselves in six seconds. This is the least creepy art I could find of one:
