Poll: What 5.2 stuff should we keep?
Added 2025-03-31 19:44:12 +0000 UTCOkay, so we've had a couple months of this new format; what do we think about the various elements? What do we want to keep as is, what should we revert to 5.1, and what should we take a different direction with?
Do the drives feel useful as a more fine-grained alignment? Could they be better? Do the descriptions feels like they're justifying their space? Do we like CR in the top right? What about the saving throw presentation?

Pros: I like the little additional short description of what the monster looks like. Cons: I hate the columns for copy/pasting as others have mentioned. I also think that honestly just making the save and mod the same would be simpler. Its not terribly common for a monster to have them be that different and 90% of the time you just need the saving throw anyways. I'm trying to copy paste the boggles for an encounter right now and its taking me probably 2-3 minutes per block to format and taking up WAY too much space without just flat out retyping stuff myself. I did your Krakens and that took me like 10 seconds to slightly adjust the formatting to my liking but would be fine even without touching.

2025-04-08 12:08:08 +0000 UTCI prefer more visible CR placement. I like having static initiative (I use it in my games). I prefer either the 2014 ability score table and saves indicated below it (if any), or just get rid of the ability scores altogether like Tales of the Valiant did, because they’re worthless. I like the short blurbs about the monsters and their drives.

I prefer the CR in the upper right as it allows for quick decision making. I prefer the ability scores and saves in the 2014 format. Regardless I am so appreciative for what you create. Thank you.
