In D&D, though, oppressive security and a surveillance state can be fun! Here's the cults of Dispater, good for prison wardens and spymasters. I've also got him as a warlock patron, for an ultracautious playstyle where no one is ever allowed to get near you.

Haha, just a lot of time spent looking at art and thinking about how to use it. Most of the time I have something ready before I start a monster, rather than starting with the monster and then trying to find art for it
