Added 2025-11-25 18:32:53 +0000 UTCMythic satyrs have some minor troubles adapting to a chill fantasy world (calm down, Priapus), so most of the DNA of these comes from maenads and Greek mystery cults, but I think they still feel properly satyrical. These guys are heralds of madness and excess; they're here to party and there's no telling whether anyone will come out the other side the same, or at all.
At the helm of this revel we've got a new archfey; Hyrsam, Prince of Fools and first to laugh. He makes for a solid feywild antagonist where you don't really need to manufacture a conflict, you can just jump back and forth across the "are we fighting?" line whenever suits your fancy.
If you do want a proper conflict though, this man is a capital P problem for every court of the fey, but he's too well-respected, well-connected, and generally likeable for anyone to do anything about him.
