It's time to go back - not to when dinosaurs roamed the earth, but to when dinosaur movies were still good! Jurassic Park is not only one of Spielberg's best, it's also one of the best movies ever made and spawned multiple incredible theme park attractions for me & Zach to ride over and over and over.
But Spielberg wasn't done! He came back for the vastly underrated The Lost World, but then dipped for Jurassic Park III and was replaced by the kid from the Barney movie. Towel please!

Seeing the characters that stay on the island and live/die in the book being different than the ones in the movie is enough to keep you on your toes as you read. And Nedry's death is a lot more graphic in the novel. Dodgson was also the main antagonist of The Lost World's novel. The more gruesome side of the novels makes me wish there was a closer-to-R-rated miniseries that more closely followed the novels. The only problem with that is it would look nowhere as good as the original JP/TLW movies

Idk if they do this at Jurassic but at the same theme park universal sells those lollipops with crickets and also scorpions over at mummy. So I wouldnβt be surprised if they sold them at discovery center as well. Just had to put in my two cents. Lol

2025-03-01 00:28:21 +0000 UTCI was amazed to discover it's literally halfway through the movie when the dinosaurs break out. An hour of setup, and an hour of dino action. But you don't notice at all because the setup is so fun on its own, and so much is crammed into that back half that it fully feels worth the wait. I'm never not in the mood to watch this one.
