Jessica Rabbit: The Night I Was the Problem (Halloween)

Hiiiii my loves – thank you so, so much for being patient with me while I got this set finished. I wanted to make sure it felt as fun and chaotic as Halloween actually was… and ohhh it was a night.

So, I was Jessica Rabbit this year, and I may have committed fully to the bit. The dress. The gloves. The hair. The accidental spotlight everywhere I walked. I tried to tell everyone “I’m just drawn that way,” but apparently that still counts as “being extremely noticeable.” Oopsie. ^^

I ended up at a Halloween party with some friends, and I may have gotten just a little tipsy. Like… lip gloss-smudged laughing, twirling, and definitely making questionable dance choices kind of tipsy. Aaaand maybe I may have accepted help adjusting my dress in the hallway... It’s fine.... It’s seasonal enchantment.

At one point, a very tall someone dressed as a doctor said he needed to “conduct a routine wellness check.”
Let’s just say the check-up moved to a more private examination room (the bathroom). I passed the exam. With flying colors. Probably... ;P

No but really—everyone was so sweet and fun and chaotic and…I somehow won the costume contest?? The host literally said, “There were a lot of great costumes but in the end… boobs wins.” I have no argument prepared.

Then I got "volunteered" to do karaoke because “Jessica sings, so YOU have to sing.” I cannot sing. At all. But I did my drunken best to perform “Juno” by Sabrina Carpenter as if I was in a smoke-filled 1940s jazz bar… or maybe like I was underwater (more like drowning lol). But the crowd cheered anyway and I leaned into it. Very playful. Very not subtle.

And then the Uber ride home was… entertaining. I caught the driver giving me looks in the rearview like he was questioning whether cartoons could walk in real life. Don’t worry, I was safe — I had friends with me and we all ended the night with a cozy sleepover, cold pizza, and me trying to get out of that dress without help. (The gloves were a whole saga.)
