Foxy - Eladrin Wizard (WIP)
Added 2018-02-28 07:54:53 +0000 UTCLonglegs McGee have a shape and name, Ruscuitewendiel Eythernealdth or Foxy for short as his first name means a foxy person or someone being foxy (although I fudged it around to be longer then the actual Quenya name to be more exotic). We're gonna play Curse of Strahd, so I first wanted his name to be a elven twist on Tatyana for fun, but nothing really looked all that good so I just well full out with the name instead XD
Foxy is a Eladrin from the Dungeon Master's Guide cause I liked that template better then the Unearthed Arcana one and we're playing before Tome of Foes is coming out. I liked Elf Weapon Training better then the mood swing spells, I'm sure it would be better as a wizard, but this is my first Wizard since I playtested (which didn't go well) so I think I got enough to look after.
We where to use Buy-Point System this time around, which was easy to do in DnD Beyond and I basically just pumped up 3 stats; int, cha and con. But I did end up reducing cha from 15 to 14 so i could have extra dex for AC so the final array was str8, dex12, con15, int16, wins8, cha14. 8HP and AC11, he'll probably not last long unless I play it smart XD
I really wanted a longsword for him since that's unusual for a wizard, but since I gave him crap Strength I went with a short sword instead, and I based the design off the Chinese Jian that's in the shorter side.
You can tell by his high heels and fabulous clothes that he's a city elf that likes it comfy (Noble background), so he's in for a surprise when he'll be adventuring for the very first tim :P

Thanks :D I do want more in charisma, but the 1 ektra point in AC might pay better off since having a odd number in cha won't help too much. But I am still torn, so maybe it'll change before we play XD the jian have a point, but it's not as thick like a gladius, a lot of gladius I've seen seems to flare out a bit before narrowing into a tip, but the jian is very sleek. I decided with a short jian since I didn't want him to have a typical European design sword and I already had a elf with a katana :P

2018-03-01 10:04:11 +0000 UTCHe looks like a fun character! Although, with those heels, I might have stuck with the lower Dex and kept his Charisma higher... 😁 Your weapons are excellent! Is the end of his blade squared off (like the scabbard), or does it come to a point like a typical gladius? (I will look up the Jian; I'm unfamiliar with it.)
