This is the kind of romance I can support in a tv show. I love that you said you don't think they would go as far as kissing. If this was English or American tv we'd be wondering if the mother might come home unexpectedly and catch them having sex. I like a slow build-up of romantic feeling rather than an explosion of teenage hormones. That said, I do find it weird that they are so conscious of touching each other and paralysed at the thought of accidentally touching hands with the person they have feelings for. Don't get me wrong, I know it's a cultural thing and I have dated Japanese people and I really do understand it. It still feels weird though. If I compare it to the people I was around growing up I'd say they are acting like 12 year-olds, and that's maybe a little conservative on the estimate. I guess where I would see the healthy line being is in between the two extremes of the anime world (or Japan lol) and the world I grew up in (or the UK). But what do I know? I'm not at all interested in real world romance any more; I've had more than enough of that. This sweet, slow anime love is quite heartwarming to watch, though. I'll take some more of this. That surprises me cos I don't usually watch romantic anime. This is one of the reasons I love finding a reactor I enjoy watching enough to actually watch something outside my usual taste just so I can experience another show with them. I'm broadening my horizons. Thank you for that. I really mean it.
