It’s such a beautiful episode, despite it presenting to us a world in which a woman can be given away as a prize. If Maomao’s speculation is correct then the military officer and the princess managed to manipulate that world and made it work for them, but can you imagine living in a world where you had to jump through so many hoops just to be with the person you loved?
