I don't know if someone told you on YT, but SM along with YG and JYP were the Big Three that had all the money and influence to get their idols placed on music shows before HYBE got big. The HS Jung Kook attended specialized in performing arts, so lots of trainees go there iirc. There's another series, You Quiz on the Block, BTS special w/a play list on YT that's interesting cuz they address some topics you're curious about. ETA: Asian Boss is a YT channel. Have a look at their content if you want. And the interview RM and Jimin did where Eric Nam was one of the hosts is on After School Club. You asked about this in a previous reaction. RE plastic surgery: I had a Korean friend who majored in Theater. When she showed me photos of her classmates, she pointed at them "Oh, this one had an eye job. This one had an eye and a nose job." She told me that some had jaw surgery to change the shape of their faces to align with Korean beauty standards. RE three big music genres: I've listened to Korean R&B for years because that's what my friends introduced me to. The one genre the podcast host leaves out is trot. Imagine a bus full of uncles, aunties, grannies and grandpas with a KTV system going on a daytrip. It requires a different singing technique. Jung Kook did a bit of N.O in trot style. Remember that?

But when Namjoon is going up the stairs and it cuts to the guys talking and then Namjoon comes in. I always feel like they were about to say something rude about RM. I don't know but that is who it feels to me.
