It felt SO good to hop back into Bon Voyage after taking a small break! I honestly can't believe I was able to wait as long as I did for this episode because it was PURE serotonin just like I thought it would be HEH!
Seeing the boys hang out with SHARKS, choose between burgers and shrimp and then have the cutest friend adventures was just chefs kiss.
I LOVED the conversations I saw with Namjoon and Hobi.. they had me giggling and kicking my feet! Also Tae Tae and Yoongi were so precious, watching them slowly get more comfortable with each other was everything I needed and more. Then we had the chaotic trio just causing a ruckus everywhere they went which was the cherry on top of the member's shenanigans.
This might be my favourite episode of the season so far, it was so good!

I swear the birds Yoongi heard at 50:48 inspired him for the bird sounds in "Set me free" since he said that trip gave him a lot of inspiration 😩🥹

Like in burn the stage (around the same time as bv2) when namjoon said hobi was a closed book and he couldn't say they'd had many deep conversations together. Also at the end of 2017 (the year bv2 was filmed), namjoon actually said his new year's resolution for 2018 was to get closer to hobi. And I feel like namjoon got his wish! they might still be a liiiiittle shy/awkward with each other sometimes, but they definitely got a lot more comfy and close with each other on camera from 2018 onward. Maybe they can thank jin for calling them out on it here but speaking of hobi being shy, he really does get easily flustered and embarrassed by compliments, whether they're coming from the members or fans, interviewers, other celebs, etc. If he's not blushing and trying to deflect, then he's just being 'oblivious' and straight up pretending he didn't hear anything 😂 that jinnie eats compilation of bts being whipped for him is a good one to watch for examples

It's glass noodles with veggies, sometimes meat, and a garlicy sauce that's really savory and tasty, especially when they put in bell peppers.

2025-01-04 20:22:21 +0000 UTCLove this episode!! they are so precious 💜 we got to see Taegi getting close and starting an iconic friendship, Jinminkook being extra af (an army that was inside of a store saw through the window Jin and Jimin dancing like that while Jk was embarrassed, she got to record a bit of that! I swear armys always see them doing some random sht lmao why they are like this 😂). Also, we got Namseok having a deep and weet conversation that made many of us blush too! they didn't show that side much on camera like Hobi mentioned here and this just reminds me when Namseok was planning to enlist together to the military but Namjoon decided to stay to explore more his solo career. Joon was so sad and cried when Hobi enlisted. It was heartbreaking 😭🥺 I miss to see Bangtan together so bad! 🥺💜

Aside from Suga brother they are all 90 babies lol Jin - Older Brother (90) Suga - Older Brother (89) RM - Younger sister (97) JHope - Older sister (90) Jimin (95) - Younger brother (97) V (95) - Younger brother (98) & sister (96) Jungkook (97) - Older brother (95) Most are very private about family but Jin, Jk, Jimin and JHope have all interacted with their siblings on camera or social media from what I am aware. So Nice to see them still have close bonds with biological siblings even though they all left home at such a young age to be trainee’s.

2025-01-04 11:56:18 +0000 UTCAlso, on the F/P thing in Korean, I read this article about how languages with ancient enough roots don't have an "f" or "v" sound because the human mouth was still in an underbite stage of development which can't produce an "f" or "v" sound (try it!). About 40% of languages don't have an "f/v" sound. Korean was obviously constructed much later but it was heavily influenced by other languages in the region like Chinese which is one of the oldest spoken languages. So, the "f"/"v" sounds never made it into the Korean alphabet. But Korean has also integrated a lot of English words that have the "f" "v" so they've used their "b/p" (and sometimes "h") sound to adapt those words. That's why our "V" (Taehyung) is Romanized and pronounced "bwi" and why "finger" becomes "pingeu." Random tidbit but interesting to language nerds like me. haha.

She's a fashion influencer and has her own line (Hobi wears her "Funthemental" sunglasses all the time). She and Hobi are so alike--even physically. Yoongi says Jiwoo is basically j-hope in a wig. And I don't know if she's ever hung out with BTS but they've all met. A few of the boys went to her wedding, Jiwoo went to Joon's sister's cafe when it opened and brought her flowers, Hobi and Tae's families vacationed in Hawaii together and Jiwoo was there--BTS' family are all each other's in-laws so, of course they've spent a little time together. But anyway, I think it's so clear that Hobi is a guy raised with an older sister. Like the way he puts on his facial products is a big tell but also, he's so secure in his masculinity and comfortable being affectionate and expressive. He's kind and gentle and validating...he's very much a sister's younger brother. Between Jiwoo and his mom, Hobi was raised by strong, nurturing women and he's an obvious reflection of that.
