This compilation had me ROLLLINGGG!! It felt like the BTS boys were lowkey so sick of the lame American interviewers asking them the same questions over and over and also not actually doing any research on BTS beforehand that they boys were just in their "eff it, if they don't care then we don't care" mentality LOL. As they should be tbh!!
I still think the boys had a lot of fun in this era and enjoyed speaking about it on their own terms while being live with Army though ^^ Namjoon coming up with "We needed a song for the summer and chose Butter because it rhymed with Summer" was TOO goood LOL
I love getting to see a bunch of clips from one era that I missed out on!! Are there any others i gotta check out?!

The best part of THAT Butter Live for ME was when Yoongi got into the camera and flirted his slides off!! HOT DAMN! Yoongi biases, ya'll good?! I lost my i$h when that happened! Also, JK created a butter yellow FORK crown in Tae Tae's Bob Ross mane! If you don't believe me, go watch for yourself on Weverse.

The very first interview he did with them was during the love yourself era and one of his questions was about the Love Yourself campaign that BTS was doing with UNICF. Namjoon was so excited and impressed with that interview because Zach was the only interviewer to ask them about that and the guys have liked him ever since. During Zach's interview during Butter era was the first time he had asked the more basic questions abs it really was the only time too. During Namjoon's Indigo promotions he actually didn't do very much promotions for it especially in the US. The only person he interviewed with in the US was Zach Sang. Namjoon said he actually told BigHit if he had to do interviews it the US he only wanted Zach and that was the only US interview Namjoon did.

But the way Namjoon says "Of Course " to the women interviewer gets me everytime..haha she could have at least made her answer a little more specific besides "the beginning". It like these interviewers BS an essay they wrote last min and didn't care. Even though they have interviewed BTS multiple times by this point.😮💨

I know the interview that left a bad taste in our mouths but I put that all on that one member of Forever In Your Mind. A bunch of nobodies if you ask me. 🤷♀🥰💜

I think they were just SO done in the Butter era lol. I mean, the guys had to to a bunch of interviews the same day and most of them asked the same questions and did stupid comments. The members also mentioned they were exhausted during that era (in the Festa dinner). So it's understandable. I think this interview is one of the most chaotic because of that and because they are more chill with this guy that has interviewed them since the very beginning!

I guess butter not being a serious song makes it hard to take interviews about it seriously. I was hoping they'd include the clip here where Namjoon describes the song as 'fruity vibes, twinkle twinkle' lmao, but maybe I'm remembering wrong and that was dynamite era? I know the other zach sang interview you mentioned, but I think that moment was a misunderstanding. The guy in the boyband he was interviewing said he thought bts were in a different category and zach agreed enthusiastically I think because he thought the guy meant bts were just on another level from other boybands - like the way some army say they shouldn't be considered a boyband since they're 'more' than that. The first time I watched the clip I was confused about how that was an insult too. It seemed like a compliment at first.

2025-01-27 14:41:27 +0000 UTCI think they're ok with Zach Sang (the radio show interviewer) since Namjoon did like an hour-long interview with him when his Indigo album came out (about a year and a half after Butter), and he didn't do many interviews during that promo period! I think why things felt a bit off during that interview was just the era that BTS were in. It was still lockdown/COVID times, and they hadn't performed for Army in like two years. Most of their promo and performances were pre-filmed or done over Zoom like this so it was just a different vibe than when they did stuff in person. Also I feel like they were a little "adrift" during this time if you recall what Namjoon said at the 2022 Festa Dinner. He didn't know what kind of group they were anymore. I feel like that might have contributed a little to his more "whatever" kind of attitude. I'm sure things were kind of up in the air for them during this time. as they were unsure about the military service timeline and what they were going to do. That's just my thoughts, though!

And omg Peachy you are my twin istg because I bought all three versions of Happy and the brown hair has me by a chokehold I literally have those pictures and photocards and posters all over my room its my FAVORITE from the albums and I thought I was going to favor the blonde but no the brown hair was absolutely seductive and tantalizing omfg. And ahhh I was honestly a tiny bit confused for a second when u said do we dislike that interviewer bc we have quite a few good interviews from him so i was like did you mean james corden but then u brought up the interview with that disrespectful european band and i was like ohhhhhhhh i know what you mean. The interviewer himself I think is fine with ARMY but yes no one liked that particular boy group although one of the boys did defend BTS from the other guy. I would have to rewatch to see if he actually agreed with the disrespectful comments bc I dont remember honestly. As for the company comment by RM, I think Hybe extended to Hybe America and Scooter Braun (justin biebers manager) is the CEO of hybe america I think??? I think they recently parted though (jb and scooter) but I'm not sure..
