the bts solo promotions: favoritism or proper strategy? {BORACITY} REACTION!

I felt like this reaction made the most sense now that I've had a taste for all of the BTS members solo projects. I was able to see how each of their promotions went and why they all chose to do different things. The breakdown by Boracity was truly incredible and I am so thankful for creators like them who play a huge role into my learning and growing as a baby army!

The difference is those were not official releases. Meaning they were not promoted or advertised before hand and did not count towards any charts. RM, JHope, and Suga have all released mixtapes before and the other members have dropped solo song on soundcloud. Which I am happy to say are now available on all streaming services when their official albums were released. I don't remember the other thing I was going to say...haha

Everything Suga did during tour was so fun and all the suprises he had in store Yoongi really went above and beyond for that tour.

RM, Suga, and JHope also all had mixtapes before they released a solo album, but those aren’t promoted, sold, or tracked the same way official albums are

2024-09-04 08:52:03 +0000 UTCcame to drop note on solo stans but I was already beaten to it, but I still have more to say lol. Solo stans & ARMYs are different. You are definitely an ARMY. Solos generally only like 1 or 2 members of a group & hate on the rest. this isn't limited to BTS ofc, but ARMY is definitely the fandom that goes hardest AGAINST solos--and BTS too. A lot of times when an artist in a group debuts as a solo artist, they will make a solo fandom name, but BTS has refused. Their fandom name is ARMY & ARMY alone. Solos consistently hope for the groups of their faves to disband and break up & often in kpop they do cuz MOST groups don't renew after their initial contract is up, however BTS has consistently said they want to continue as BTS for decades more & have already signed 2 new contracts together since their very 1st contract. They will at LEAST be together through 2030 most likely since their new contract starts next yr, but unless smth drastic changes, I have 0 doubts they'll be signing another one once this contract is up too lol boracity even has a video on this, but I've said it consistently that BTS is more similar to a rock band than an idol group. Rock bands will go on for decades and while SOME pop or idol or "boy bands" have lasted to the 20+ yr mark, it's much fewer and far between than rock bands where you still see bands together after 40 years. That's what BTS says they want. As far as Suchwita goes, Yoongi started it to give BTS members a place to promote their albums :))) and my favorite episodes are literally any episode with the BTS members in it & a couple others ahaha so: Episode 1 & 9 (RM episodes) Episode 5 (Tablo - a Korean-American hip hop artist who is part of the reason Yoongi & Namjoon fell in love with music to begin with) Episode 7 (Jimin) Episode 8 (Yeonjun & Taehyun, members of the group TXT which are BTS' juniors in BigHit. In fact their only technical juniors. Their interactions with BTS are SO CUTE & they've good music) Episode 12 (Jin) Episode 14 (J-Hope) Episodes 15 & 21 (Jungkook obviously) Episode 18 (Taehyung) Episode 27 (Jang Yi-Jeong aka El Capitxn who is not only a producer for BigHit but also Yoongi's BESTIE. Hearing about their friendship has got to be one of my absolute favorite moments in all of Suchwita. if you watch any non-BTS member one this one is an absolute MUST)

They are completely different humans with completely different personalities. So of course their love language is being different. But them renewing their contract AGAIN with Big Hit shows how much they care for BTS and also how much they trust their company. You can criticize certain elements and aspects about Hype and stuff but it's not our job to dictate them what to do. If you don't like stuff just leave. You are free to go. Same goes for their songs. You don't have to like all and that is ok. But being mean about it is an absolute no-go.
