The boys were in their acting and aesthetic era for sure.
I am not the type of person to understand deep meaningful artwork on my first watch so I apologize for the OBSCENE amount of questions I ask during this reaction, LOL. It has been such a fun ride unveiling the story slowly and putting the pieces together in my mind.
They did such an incredible job putting these films together, I was truly astonished and not expecting them to do something like this at all! I guess going from watching their funny compilations to going back to their serious content was a good reminder to not doubt their duality as a group because DAMN - I want to keep watching more already!!

2024-10-26 01:11:09 +0000 UTCHonestly, it's hard to follow without reading the webtoon. It's very artistic, and we love them for that! But I HIGHLY suggest you bread the webtoon. It's on the webtoon app and it basically explains the entire BU storyline, and it's pretty short.

2024-10-19 10:48:25 +0000 UTCThe WINGS era was so iconic and artistic! BTS has been always on another level. My first comeback as an already army was wing and bro.. I was so overwhelmed and confused but everyone was too lol. The amount of theories was crazy! By the way, before the 'Blood, Sweat and Tears' MV is the 'Intro: Boy meets evil' MV! All are connected with the Demian book and of course to the BU in some way.

Think of what happens in the MV. Thats basically telling you what happens to the guys. Well a few of them. Begin- Think about Jk in the run and I need u MVs. Both times he looks back at the camera. He's looking towards something.... also that burning piano is very important. Who always plays the piano in these MV. Suga Lie- you were very close on most of what you said. So no need to say much. You're getting there Stigma- So the subs are basically asking V his age and name. Remember he murdered someone in I need U that is why he's in jail. They also asked him about his parents. I think you missed the scenes of V getting hit by an imaginary force. And they go back in forth to that man hitting his sister and him. And yes that's his sister. He also asks to call someone. Think about who V is always with. First love- Ties back into what I said to think about on Begin and Jk. Also think about the burning piano. And what suga is associated with in all the MVs. Like jimin and water. Reflection- So RM is associated with those storage containers. Not really much I can say about this one but I wonder who was calling.....think about that. Mama- So just like the title it has something to do with a mother. Yes the snickers is very important. It was Jhope laying on the snickers in fake love. Can't say too much on this because it would spoil. Awake- Jin has things associated with the boys but why? There's only 6 photos but not one for Jin. Jin is always looking strange in each MV so far. What's going on with Jin is the biggest mystery. Focus on Jin more in the next MVs.

2024-10-19 06:44:17 +0000 UTCfavorite installment of the BU for me, I think is the Japanese MV for Blood Sweat and Tears. it's so... underrated, and trippy, and beautiful, and FULL of BU lore. like, if you're really eagle-eyed and clever, it's the first piece that really cracks the larger, overarching story open. honorable mention goes to Film Out. I know, I KNOW it's not "officially" labeled as part of the storyline. But you'll never convince me that it's not. 😅

2024-10-19 03:43:02 +0000 UTCspeaking of yoongi and jk, my poor BU yoonkook-loving heart can't handle you saying those two are always fighting, lol. they were always being cute and cuddly in every scene, except for the time they fought once-- and you should watch it again! look at JK's face. he doesn't look mad, he looks devastated. 😭😭 as for yoongi, well... to me he looks intoxicated, out of control, and just... out of it. I've never watched that scene and thought they were, you know, FIGHTING fighting. but everyone sees things differently I guess!

2024-10-19 01:36:55 +0000 UTCLooks like ARMYs in the comments already mentioned the novel, Demian by Hermann Hesse, which was published in Germany right after World War I! 97 years after the book was first published, BTS released an album inspired by its storyline.. 🤯 97 years after!! isn’t that crazy? The book is about a search of one’s self, meeting temptation, lost innocence, dilemma in good and evil, and finally, self-acceptance. Seriously, who can tell that story better than BTS.. also gotta give it to BigHit in this era 👏 from production to promotion 🔥 they were just right on

They also have solo songs in Love Yourself: Answer and Map of the Soul: 7. Each short film is named after and includes part of the solo song for that member. I won't say anything else because once you watch everything and get to the explanation/theory video the big "reveal" of what's going on is so mind-blowing. You're going to be confused for now but it's worth it!

2024-10-18 20:12:04 +0000 UTComg yay!! the title of the short films are the same with the title of each of their solo songs in the 'wings' album which you can hear the snippets being played. this is the first time all of the members have a solo song in their album. namjoon was reading an excerpt from the book 'demian' in the start of each video. the story of this book will also be referenced a lot in their blood sweat & tears MV. no spoilers here, just wanted to point out some things you've missed that was shown in the films. - jk was looking at a burning painting and said "hyung" - if you noticed jimin's shadow when he was sitting in front of the camera recorder, his shadow looks like he was hiding under the table - in tae's short film, he was scratching the word 'abraxas' in the beginning, then was being asked by the detective about his name, age, parents (he answered he has none). the girl is his sister and the guy with them drinking which he stabbed in i need u MV was their father. at the end, he asked the detective if he can make one phone call (he was also calling someone in the start of prologue) - the whistle that yoongi heard was the same whistle on the start of jk's short film. he heard it, got out of the shop and the car hit the piano (he would have been hit too if he hadn't heard the whistling, it's like it saved him) and yes good catch on the blood stains on the road! - namjoon saw the phrase 'we must survive' in the mirror which is the same phrase he wrote on the mirror back in prologue. he heard the phone ringing but couldn't get to it/answer it (remember who asked for one phone call) - the doctor's diagnosis for hobi was actually shown for a sec and it says 'munchausen syndrome' - all of the other members' symbols were actually there in seokjin's room. the bird (jk), the apple (jimin), the scratches on the door (tae), the piano (yoongi), the mirror on the dining table (namjoon), and the eva/mama painting on his room (hobi), these are also the pics on the polaroid. and yeah, he burned 6 flower petals 🥲 when you watch the blood sweat & tears MV, can you also watch the explained video about it? it has no spoiler about the actual BU, just explanation on the connection of the MV to the book 'demian' https://youtu.be/5tlgAUE6yjg?si=t9_4XL_snk8lLbwd
