(ps: anyone with any experience know the best way to do these folds? I've just been using the lasso tool on a brightness adjustment layer. It works but it doesn't look so hot)

Yeah I ran into a similar issue when I did my test design. I think the best solution for smaller characters IMO is to offer an option so you can have it printed off for queen sized pillows.
